“I like the feeling of knowledge and independence” was just one of the comments from the enthusiastic participants of the Bike Hub’s recent free workshops Bicycle Repair Basics.
Over four days, nearly 30 young people between the ages of 12 – 17 years participated in one of the 8 workshops to get some hands-on experience on everything from how to change a tyre and tubes to removing and fitting components.
The workshops were made possible through the support of the Inner West Community Foundation to secure a grant of $10,000 from Vic Health.
Facilitators Glen & Dom were overwhelmed with the response and enthusiasm for the first series of workshops and are looking forward to the next round in the June school holidays.
