Welcome to the Community Bike Hub

In 2019 the Inner West Community Bike Hub started out as a collaboration between Inner West Community Foundation and the Rotary Club of Footscray, creating a non-for-profit initiative providing a bike service and repairs workshop as well as safe riding and bike maintenance programs.

The aim is to raise funds at the Bike Hub to support community cycling programs including the Community Bike Volunteer Program.

Recently we have expanded to the Surf Coast in partnership with the Surf Coast Bike Hub. The Community Bike Hub’s new presence in Torquay will allow us to continue our work in ‘building bikes and building community’ while addressing the very real issues of safe sustainable transportation and access to bicycle ownership and repair.

Our aims include:

  • Share and teach skills repairing and maintaining bicycles
  • Provide affordable bicycles, servicing and repairs
  • Recycle donated bikes and promote sustainability in an active community
  • Provide refugees and others in need with bicycles and equipment
  • Create a place where all members of our community can learn about and experience bicycles and cycling together.
