Donate
Save old bikes, parts and accessories from going to landfill. Donate them to us instead and they’ll be put to good use. All donated items are used to build bikes for vulnerable community members. Or if they’re not safe to use, they’re broken down and donated to our recycling partners.
If you’re not sure whether the items you want to donate are repairable, or if you have a larger quantity of items to donate, email volunteers@communitybikehub.com.au with photos first.
Where to donate
You can donate items to our Volunteer Hub or the Inner West Bike Hub during business hours.
What you can donate
Bikes
If your kids have outgrown their bikes or you’ve recently upgraded and you’re not sure what to do with your old bike, bring them down to the Community Bike Hub. They’ll be repaired and sold to support our programs, and donated to people in need.

Parts and accessories
Have you upgraded the rack or basket on your bike? Or have some leftover parts from a build? Save them from landfill and donate instead.
We accept old derailleurs, baskets, racks, wheels, part-built bikes, headsets, bottom brackets and more.
Tyres and tubes
Do you have some used tyres or tubes that you no longer need? Stop them from going to landfill and donate them to us instead.
We charge a small fee to help us cover the cost of getting the tyres and tubes ready for the recycler.
$1 per tyre | $2 per tyre

Bike tools
Our volunteers can always do with some more tools to fix donated bikes – from spanners to bike stands, cable cutters and anything inbetween. If you’ve got any tools you no longer need, donate them and they’ll be put to good use at our Volunteer Hub.
