Our impact

What we do

The Surf Coast and Inner West Community Bike Hubs use donated bicycles to encourage:

  • sustainability
  • learning
  • community

We offer a range of bike workshops and programs, including bicycle repair, maintenance, and riding skill development.

All funds raised by our service and repair workshop go towards funding our volunteer and education programs and enable us to repair donated bikes for those in need.

Environmental impact

Repairing and reusing old bikes has plenty of environmental benefits.

Bikes that would otherwise go to landfill are repaired through our volunteer program and donated to people in need.

Cycling is also a pollutant-free mode of transport and reduces the need for resource-intensive modes of transport such as driving.

Social impact

The aim is to raise funds at the Bike Hub to support community cycling programs including our volunteer program.

These programs allow us to empower community members and drive bike education for all ages and abilities.
