Collage of activities and bikes at the Community Bike Hub

The Community Bike Hub recycles, refurbishes, services, sells and donates bikes!

Our mission is to increase equitable access to active transport, save preloved bikes from landfill, and provide opportunities to learn and volunteer.

Our story

From humble beginnings as a short term Rotary project, the Community Bike Hub has grown into a multifaceted social enterprise developed in collaboration between the Inner West Community Foundation, Community Bank Seddon and Rotary.

The Community Bike Hub now services the community in a broad variety of ways: we run a full service retail workshop, an education program teaching basic bike mechanic skills to over 300 students per year, alongside a community volunteer program that encourages learning.

All of our operations feed into our mission of contributing to a sustainable and circular economy while funnelling into our donation program providing equitable access to active transport for refugees and asylum seekers.
